Tonka beans (Dipteryx odorata) tastes and smells like vanilla, cherry, and almond and is used in desserts, ice creams, custards, parfumes and tobacco products. It has many health benefits and is used to treat dysentery, pain, cramps, nausea, wounds (disinfects), respiratory issues such as coughs, colds, and asthma. It also works as an Aphrodisiac it increases Libido. One should be careful with Tonka beans and not over-consume as it is toxic in large doses. Other spices to be careful with are Nutmeg. Tonka beans are banned in the U.S. by the FDA, because they contain coumarin, a chemical compound found in cinnamon. Yes, too much Tonka beans is harmful but you only need a little to get the great taste. You don't eat a whole bucket.

Vinegar, Chili and Lavender oil are also dangerous in excessive doses. Maybe that should be banned too? It's sick. A warning label would be enough on Tonka bean products.
