Jesus Christ is the Messiah - our Lord and savior
Jesus Christ is the son of God. He entered into this world 2000 years ago and lived as a human for about 33 years before he returned to the Father. Here on Earth he lived a 100% holy life. He never sinned. He was condemned to death in an unjust trial and died by crucifixion. On the third day he defeated death and arose. Today he sits on God's right hand in heaven. Jesus Christ died to take the punishment for our crimes and sins. He suffered and died to set us free, to rescue us. He was punished for our guilt. Jesus Christ died in our place. His suffering, death and resurrection saves us from God's wrath and judgment over our crimes and sins. One day Jesus Christ will judge the whole world.

Jesus Christ is our defender our lawyer before God
When God's Judgment Day comes, there will be no condemnation for those who belong to Jesus Christ. He is the holy sacrifice that takes away God's wrath over our sins and crimes. You are completely forgiven and free of guilt in the eyes of God if you belong to Jesus Christ.
So Jesus Christ is our high priest who pleads for our sake to the Father. Other words you can use about Jesus in this sense are: counsel for the defense, defender, lawyer, proponent, supporter, apostle, attorney, counsel, pleader, speaker, spokesperson, brother, friend.

You don't have to be perfect to become Jesus's friend
You don't have to be holy or perfect to become a Christian. You don't have to be perfect to become Jesus's friend. Jesus was a friend of sinners, criminals, prostitutes, poor people, social outcast people, etc. He often socialized with such people. Just open your heart and confess Him as your Lord and savior. Believe that He is the son of God and that God raised Him from the dead. Repent from your sins and ask Jesus to forgive you for the evil you have done.
There is one thing that you will need to do this: an honest heart.

Becoming a Christian - to be born again - forgiveness of sin
"because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
Romans 10:9

This is how to become a Christian an get salvation and forgivensess of sins. You get eternal life in paradise. Your name become written in the book of life in heaven. This is to be born again. You are saved from hell and God's anger over sin. You've gone from death to life. The Holy Spirit of God will come into your life and help you.
Jesus has paid for our sins with his blood. This holy sacrifice, the blood of Jesus Christ is a fulfilled and solid payment for sins. It is the only sacrifice that God will accept as the ransom for sins. The blood of Jesus Christ is the only thing who can set us free from the guilt of sin. No other sacrifice will ever be able to help us. Our own good deeds will not do as payment for sins. We receive salvation as a free gift from God, completely free if we believe in Jesus Christ and confess Him as Lord according to Romans 10:9.
Whoever believes that he can buy salvation by doing good deeds is completely wrong. Sure God wants us to strive to do the good. Absolutely. But our good deeds never hold as payment for sins. We must never forget that. If one strives to live holy, to live a sanctified life, it is easy to start believing in salvation through your own good works. I ended up in that trap and I'm sorry for the text I laid out here before (2015) and which I have now removed. God has reprimanded me hard for my delusion. I'm sorry...
Here are images of Christian baptism. that a Christian shall undergo.

The blood of Jesus Christ is the only sacrifice that God will accept as payment for the debt of sins.

Later, Jesus and his disciples were having dinner at Matthew’s house. Many tax collectors and sinners were there, eating with them
Matthew 9:10

Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Hebrews 4:14-16

(for the law made nothing perfect); but on the other hand, a better hope is introduced, through which we draw near to God.
And it was not without an oath. For those who formerly became priests were made such without an oath, but this one was made a priest with an oath by the one who said to him:
“The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind, ‘You are a priest forever.’”
This makes Jesus the guarantor of a better covenant.
The former priests were many in number, because they were prevented by death from continuing in office, but he holds his priesthood permanently, because he continues forever. Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.

Hebrews 7:19-7:25

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent. For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.
Colossians 1:14-20

But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands:
They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment;
And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.
But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?

Hebrews 1: 8-13

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Philippians 2:5-11

Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.
John 15:13

Therefore, it was necessary for him to be made in every respect like us, his brothers and sisters, so that he could be our merciful and faithful High Priest before God. Then he could offer a sacrifice that would take away the sins of the people. Since he himself has gone through suffering and testing, he is able to help us when we are being tested.
Hebrews 2:17-18

For Jesus has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses —as much more glory as the builder of a house has more honor than the house itself. For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God.
Hebrews 3: 3-4

By me kings reign, and rulers decree what is just;
by me princes rule, and nobles, all who govern justly.
I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently find me.
Riches and honor are with me, enduring wealth and righteousness.
My fruit is better than gold, even fine gold, and my yield than choice silver.
I walk in the way of righteousness, in the paths of justice,
granting an inheritance to those who love me, and filling their treasuries.
“The Lord possessed me at the beginning of his work, the first of his acts of old.
Ages ago I was set up, at the first, before the beginning of the earth.
When there were no depths I was brought forth, when there were no springs abounding with water.
Before the mountains had been shaped, before the hills, I was brought forth,
before he had made the earth with its fields, or the first of the dust of the world.
When he established the heavens, I was there; when he drew a circle on the face of the deep,
when he made firm the skies above, when he established the fountains of the deep,
when he assigned to the sea its limit, so that the waters might not transgress his command, when he marked out the foundations of the earth,
then I was beside him, like a master workman, and I was daily his delight, rejoicing before him always

Proverbs 8:15-30

And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.
Hebrews 4:13

What is your attitude as a Christian?
Is it:
What is the least thing I can do to get into heaven?
or
Lord, what can I do for your kingdom?

For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;
Hebrews 3:14

“If anyone hears my words but does not keep them, I do not judge that person. For I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world. There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; the very words I have spoken will condemn them at the last day.

I am writing to you, little children, because your sins are forgiven for his name's sake.
I am writing to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning.
I am writing to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one.
I write to you, children, because you know the Father.
1 John 2:12-13

Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.
1 John 2:15-17

Let what you heard from the beginning abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, then you too will abide in the Son and in the Father. And this is the promise that he made to us — eternal life.
1 John 2:24-25

See what kind of love the Father has shown us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Beloved, we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is. And everyone who have this hope in him purifies himself as he is pure.
1 John 3:1-3

For this is the message that you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
1 John 3:11

And this is his commandment, that we believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ and love one another, just as he has commanded us.
1 John 3:23

I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life.
1 John 5:13

For it is witnessed of him, “You are a priest forever, after the order of Melchizedek.” For on the one hand, a former commandment is set aside because of its weakness and uselessness (for the law made nothing perfect); but on the other hand, a better hope is introduced, through which we draw near to God. And it was not without an oath. For those who formerly became priests were made such without an oath, but this one was made a priest with an oath by the one who said to him:
“The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind, ‘You are a priest forever.’” This makes Jesus the guarantor of a better covenant.
Hebrews 7:17-22

For it was indeed fitting that we should have such a high priest, holy, innocent, unstained, separated from sinners, and exalted above the heavens. He has no need, like those high priests, to offer sacrifices daily, first for his own sins and then for those of the people, since he did this once for all when he offered up himself. For the law appoints men in their weakness as high priests, but the word of the oath, which came later than the law, appoints a Son who has been made perfect forever.
Hebrews 7:26-28

She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said to her, I do not condemn you either. Go, and sin no more.
John 8:11

For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.
John 3:17

Afterward, Jesus found the man at the temple and said to him, “See, you have been made well. Stop sinning, or something worse may happen to you.”
John 5:14

You are my friends if you do what I command you.
John 15:14

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, so shall you also love one another.
John 13:34
