Jesus Christ - God's Holy passover lamb.
Easter is the most central feast in Christian faith. It's the celebration of The Messiah - Jesus Christ, the Son of God who died and took the punishment for the sins of the world. Jesus resurrects on the third day and defeats sin and death. Jesus Christ now holds the key to death and life. All people who belong to Him will be given eternal life with Him and the Father in heaven.

Jesus Christ is the way to the Father
Jesus Christ is the son of God, the Messiah - God's holy passover lamb who was slaughtered for our sins. He died and took the punishment for you and me. Jesus Christ was killed just when all Jewish families slaughtered their passover lambs only a few distances away.
God made it very clear: This is my sacrificial lamb for the sins of the world. Jesus Christ is God's holy passover lamb.
Jesus Christ died and took the punishment for the sins of the world. Jesus also resurrected from death and now sits in heaven on God's right side.
Easter origins from the Jewish Passover
When the people of Israel lived as slaves in Egypt God sent 10 plagues of Egypt so that Pharaoh should release the people of Israel. But Pharaoh was stubborn and said: No!
Then God sent a last plague over Egypt: the death angel. This was the last plague before the exodus out of Egypt.
All the families of Israel slaughtered a lamb and smeared the doorposts of their homes with the blood of the lamb. When the death angel came and saw the blood on the doorpost he passed over. In the houses of the egyptians the angel entered in and killed every firstborn child.

Jesus' very last words on the cross: "It is finished."
The greek word Tetélestai can be translated to “accomplished” or “completed,” meaning the finishing of an act, that completes the fulfillment of the purpose.
It's the word used in ancient roman empire to write on debt securities when the debt was fully paid. Jesus Christ took the penalty for our sins. He paid the ultimate price for our eternal salvation. Thank you Lord Jesus!

Jesus Christ is the foundation for God's new covenant
Jews eat the passover lamb as a sign of their identity as God's chosen people. Before the exodus out of egypt, the lamb's blood on their door posts was a sign of salvation and God's love and mercy.
God established a new covenant with Israel and the whole world through his son Jesus Christ, the Messiah. Jesus came as the ultimate sacrifice for sins. He is holy and have never sinned. He died and resurrected to take the punishment for our crimes and sins.
Jesus' death and resurrection replaces the Jewish sacrifices in the temple. Jesus Christ has authority to forgive sins. Through him we receive grace, mercy and forgiveness for our transgressions, crimes and sins. Jesus loves us and his love is a proof of the Father's love for us. Jesus Christ has made the Father known to us as the Bible says.
Jesus Christ also established the holy communion. A holy ritual when his believers eats bread and drinks wine that represents Jesus Christ own body and blood.
As Jews eats the passover lamb, Christians eat the communion. We believe that Jesus Christ is the holy and perfect passover lamb of God.
The ancient Jewish sacrificial seremonies in the temple is not needed any more. Jesus Christ died once and for all and was the perfect sacrifice for sins.
