Teaching about hell

The Bible speaks of everlasting fire, destruction and torment for those who are not saved. Even Jesus spoke about this. Jesus Christ came to give us mercy, forgiveness and salvation from God's wrath, judgement and hell.

A small word of comfort here first about the hope in Jesus Christ. If you belong to him, you will not go to hell. Stick to Jesus.
"There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death."
Romans 8:1-2

"For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dies, says the Lord God: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye."
Ezekiel 18:32

Salvation for all - is it true?
Imagine a big beautiful garden with a sinkhole in it. Imagine if no one warned about the sinkhole and unsuspecting people fell into it. That would be terrible. Congregations and priests rarely talk about hell today. It is not fun to talk about it and you really want returning churchgoers. Therefore, many people today believe that hell does not exist. Eternal salvation for all sounds much better. But that is not what the Bible teaches. This page aims to warn of hell, the terrible punishment that awaits those who do not make it to paradise.

There will come a final judgment
God is loving, but he is also holy, pure, righteous, and almighty. It's true what the Bible says about the ultimate destiny of man: paradise or hell. There will come a final judgment when we have lived our lives and died. There are very few today who warn people for the wrath of God, hell and his punishment for sin and unbeleif. God has let me experience a part of hell's horror in a dream. It was horrible. It was an experience of uninterrupted destruction, tornment, pain, very fast pace, compact. I did not see anything, felt nothing physically but experienced the presence of spiritual pain and agony - maximum hurt. I heard lots of people screaming. To you who believe in the existence of God, ask yourself what does the Bible say?

The Bible teaches that hell is real
Jesus is our savior but what is it that we are saved from? The broad way leads to destruction the Bible says. It is seldom preached about Hell today.
The luke warm will not inherit the kingdom of God. If we take God's word seriously we must stop sinning and repent. Of course, we cannot stop sinning completely and we are forgiven when we sin. God sees what is in our heart. I have repented my sin, I was living a very sinful and filthy life before. But not anymore. Jesus has set me free.
Even though I have stopped the outward obvious big sexual sins, I still struggle with very sinful thoughts and attitudes on the inside.
I ask God for forgiveness.

The Final Judgment
When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
Matthew 25:31-46

And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

A Divine Revelation of Heaven and Hell by Mary K Baxter

Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leads to destruction, and many there be which go in there:
Matthew 7:13

"Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life."
Matthew 25:46

They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the majesty of his power
2 Thessalonians 1:9

And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Matthew 13-42

And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
Luke 16-24

The sinners in Zion are afraid; trembling has seized the godless: “Who among us can dwell with the consuming fire? Who among us can dwell with everlasting burnings?”
Isaiah 33-14

Mark of the beast
"Also it causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or the forehead, so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name. This calls for wisdom: let the one who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and his number is 666."
Revelation 13:16-18

And another angel, a third, followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, he also will drink the wine of God's wrath, poured full strength into the cup of his anger, and he will be tormented with fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever, and they have no rest, day or night, these worshipers of the beast and its image, and whoever receives the mark of its name.”
Revelation 14:9-11

Once you are saved, can you loose your salvation?
One question often asked is: Once you are saved, can you loose your salvation? Let's take Satan as an example. He was a high ranking servant angel of God in heaven. He was Gods friend, a christian servant, "saved". Then Satan wanted to take God's throne and rule everything himself. God then threw him and his followers out of heaven. God prepared the lake of fire for Satan and his angels/demons.
So Satan went from being saved, blessed by God to - damned, cursed by God. This can happen to us also.

Bible scriptures about Satan's fall

You were anointed as a guardian cherub, for so I ordained you. You were on the holy mount of God; you walked among the fiery stones.
Ezekiel 28:14

For you have said in your heart: ‘I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north; 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.’
Isaiah 14:13-14

So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
Revelation 12:9

For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to hell, putting them into gloomy dungeons to be held for judgment;

The Bible warns about hell
Hell is a place for those people who have completely abandoned God.
It is a place where the evil gets its final and definitive judgement. The Bible also teaches that faith without works is a dead faith , that the " lukewarm " will not inherit the kingdom of God.

What is the second death described in the Bible?

They will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might,
2 Thessalonians 1:9

I tell you, Nay: but, except you repent, you shall all likewise perish.
Luke 13:5

Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil.
1 John 3:8

The parable of the wedding and the groom
The Bible describes the Assembly's relationship with God through a parable about a wedding. women , bridesmaids (congregation) was waiting for the bridegroom (God) . Some had oil (living faith/Holy Spirit) in their lamps, some had no oil (no living faith/not the Holy Spirit in their lives).
When the bridegroom came, the women with empty lamps rushed off to buy some oil for their lamps. When they returned, the doors were already closed. It was too late.
parable of the ten virgins of Matthew 25:1-13 (new Living Translation)

The Bible tells us that Jesus will one day come back to Earth and then bringing home his congregation to paradise.
We have this earthly life on us to establish a relationship with God. When we have finished our life and died, God can make an evaluation, an assessment. Then it's too late for us to subtract or add anything and after death, all people will be judged by God. Some to everlasting life, others to destruction, punishment and darkness.
Because we can die anytime, this can happen any time in a person's life.

It's not only about refusing the mark of the beast and standing up against the new world system. It's about having a true genuine love relation with Jesus Christ or not. It's a fantastic thing to be loved by God the creator of the universe and to love him back in return, to pray to Him and worship Him. We love him because he loved us first.

October, November 2013 was a turning point for me
On October 14, 2013 I had a dream about the rapture, like Jesus's return where I was left behind. OK ? It was an uncomfortable feeling to wake up that day.
So this was only two months ago and I am now 39 years old (this text was written December 2013) and have lived my life very sexually liberal, gay and licentious with regard to relationships and sex, even watching a lot of porn. My values in life was something like this: "As long as I'm nice and compassionate towards others and not do some illegal stuff, not hurt anyone so I can live how I want regaring sex, I mean, I still believe in God and Jesus. I'm christian in my own way." (-end quote)
And it's important for me to be kind and nice to others, absolutely. Now it seems pretty clear to me that my lifestyle was not ok for God and that he wanted to see a change.
I have since then changed the way I live. If you want to be a Christian, you must listen to what the Bible says and teaches. Now I feel anyway that I can call myself a Christian, ie a person who sees Jesus Christ as my savior, role model and wants to practice what he preaches.
However, the Bible teaches that our actions can not save us, we can not save ourselves. All people have sinned, and done immoral acts, done wrong and thus lost the glory of God. We are all dependent on the mercy of the Lord Jesus Christ for our salvation. However, if we receive Him as our Savior, we should also live by his word. We actually have the power to break our relationship with God and go into the things that he does not want. We have the power to end the relationship with God. we can choose to mock Jesus, God, the Bible, if we want, or live a very lukewarm, liberal and permissive life that accepts and blesses sin as something positive. I have been living in such a way for many many years. It becomes a life where God, Jesus and the Bible is included but put aside to a corner and is being the very last priority. This lukewarm person (me) never talked about Jesus outside the walls of the church. If a sinful life is our first and only priority, it draws us away from the Lord. We become separated from him.
Unfortunately it is a fact that we humans like stuff that God does not like. We often go our own way and ignore his commands. Sometimes we even get stuck in bad sinful things and doing it even if it doesn't feel good.

And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

Book of Revelation 21:8 the burning lake of fire

Hell -is it cold and dark or light and warm?
There are Bible verses that say that hell is a cold and dark place, while the Bible also describes hellfire .. how does this fit together? I do not know exactly. Jesus mentions hell several times and describes it like unpleasant, awful and horrible. Not being saved and not coming to Jesus's paradise will be the ultimate disaster. To be separated from God forever will feel like hell. The evil will be punished there. Also, there might be different places in hell. Perhaps some places are darker than others?
When unsaved people die and wait for their judgement, perhaps it's cold and dark then, while waiting for the judgement day? Perhaps the lake if fire comes afterwards?

We have the power to end the relationship with God, even if we go to church

Are these persons Christians?

Then he will say to those at his left,' Depart from me, ye cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.'
Matt 25:41.

( "The judgment of the lake of fire is final, conscious, and bodily."

Sheol, Hades, Hell, Paradise & Heaven

Is Jesus your Lord?
Do you go to church at sundays, pray to Jesus sometimes but also watch porn when you come home? Do you have several different sex partners? Do you go to nightclubs every weekend, partying, drinking? I have lived like that for many years and finally (2013), God told me that there is no promise for me to enter paradise if I live like that. I have since then changed the way I live. I've even put off with my homosexual lifestyle because it felt like God told me that it's a sin. And the Bible says that homosexuality is sin. Who is it that you are praising? Is it God or is it yourself?
If you say: I'm a christian in my own way. I believe in Jesus in my own way. You have created your own christian religion (where sin is allowed). Then on judgement day Jesus will probably say to you: Good luck and save your self, do it your own way because I will not save you.

“The gates of Hell are open night and day; smooth the descent and easy is the way.”

Jesus Christ is our salvation
Beleive in Jesus Christ. Confess him as your lord. Keep him as your Lord. Believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead and you will be saved.
What Jesus Christ did on the cross changes everything - for eternity. He can make us clean before God. And he want's to do it. Jesus loves you. Do you love him? Is Jesus your Lord?
