Mediterranean diet

The Mediterranean diet is very healthy and reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and bowel cancer. Among other things, you eat a lot of vegetables, root vegetables, berries, legumes, whole grains, fish, shellfish, chicken and vegetable oils - olive oil. You eat very little red meat and moderate amounts of dairy products (yogurt and sometimes cheese.) Mediterranean diet reduces the risk of heart attack by 30% according to a Spanish study. It is also very good for weight loss and counteracts depression. The Mediterranean diet is very similar to the DASH diet.
